Take I-80 East to Auburn CA
Take 49 North from the Auburn Exit (turn left at the stop light at the top of the off-ramp onto 49)
Continue on 49 North through Auburn and through Grass Valley
At Grass Valley, Hwy 49 and Hwy 20 (EAST) blend together & Grass Valley soon blends into Nevada City.
At Nevada City continue on Hwy 20 (EAST) toward Truckee and Reno (just stay on the same Hwy).
Continue on 20 for approximately 14 miles. you will come to a vista point and very shortly the road sign to Washington city
(at this point, you are within a mile of the turn to Alpha/Omega Road) Before you reach Alpha/Omega Road, you should see an intersection sign on the right side, indicating a LEFT turn ahead (turn on your left turn signal)
If this is a scheduled event, you should also see red and white signs with ARROWS saying ALPHA HOUSE
Turn LEFT on Omega Road (be very careful as it is a BLIND left turn)
Don’t be concerned that you are on gravel road and nothing is around, just keep coming.
Within a short distance Omega road turns to the RIGHT and Alpha Rd. turns to the LEFT.
At this fork, turn LEFT onto Alpha Rd.
You should pass through an open green U.S. Forest Service Gate (During winter months it could be locked.
If locked, please call Jim Hannah at number listed below, or your designated host). Approximately one quarter of a mile down Alpha Road, turn LEFT at the Alpha house driveway (it is marked with an address sign).
The host will direct you where to park.
