The Church in Sacramento

How I Contacted the Local Church

I was born in a very small country in Southeast Asia. I did know about the Lord when I was a child, yet I was not saved until I was in junior high. After getting saved, I enjoyed reading the Bible and spiritual books, especially the writings from those who had experience of the inner life such as A.B. Simpson, Hudson Taylor, Andrew Murray, and Watchman Nee. Among the books I read, I was so impressed with The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee, because it opened my eyes to see many truths related to my Christian walk, and it also brought me to a deeper experience of the Christian life. Later, I met a group of Christians who were genuinely seeking the Lord, and I was so attracted by their love and their sincerity toward the Lord and toward their fellow believers. Through my association with them, I was introduced to more books from Watchman Nee, and I also came to know his co-worker Witness Lee. Through their books, I began to see the one Body of Christ, and I was brought into the fellowship of the church in my locality. After meeting with the local church there for one year, the Lord brought me to America.

Now I live in California, and I am fellowshipping with the church in Sacramento. I thank the Lord for His far-reaching mercy on my life. He not only saved me, but He also brought me into the fellowship of members of His Body through the rich ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Praise His Name!
